How the scanner works
- Every hour, right after the hourly candle closes, we read the last 8 days of hourly candles for every crypto perpetual on Binance USDT-M futures (tokenized stocks and commodities excluded).
- Pump: the hourly close is at least 20% above the lowest close of the previous 12 hours. Dump: at least 20% below the highest.
- Volume over those 12 hours must be at least 3 times the 7-day norm. Coins with less than 7 days of history are skipped.
- One signal per coin and direction per 72 hours.

What counts as a pump or a dump here?
An hourly close at least 20% above the 12-hour low (pump) or 20% below the 12-hour high (dump), on at least 3x normal volume. One signal per coin and direction per 72 hours.
Should I short a pump when it appears here?
Our test found no edge: pullback first in 52% of cases, shorts won 69% of trades but 2.2% lost more than the whole position, average after costs about zero. Information, not a signal.
Is a pump on this list a pump-and-dump scheme?
Not necessarily - news, listings and liquidations move prices too. Organized pump-and-dump schemes are market manipulation and illegal in many countries; the scanner only sees price and volume.
