New Binance futures listings: what they did after launch

Every new USDT-M perpetual on Binance from the last 90 days, with where its price is since the first candle, how the first day went and what happened over the next seven days. Updated every 30 minutes from Binance's public API. Most new listings fall, but shorting them was not an edge in our test of 348 listings.

Last 90 days (to 23 Oct 2026, 09:55 UTC): 5 new perpetuals. Of 5 with at least 8 days of history, 3 were lower a week after their first day. Our test of 348 past listings: median change in the 7 days after day one -10.2%, yet the average short +0.61% after costs (test #8).

Futures prices, 4-hour candles from the coin's first candle; "first day" is the close of the sixth 4-hour candle against the launch price, "next 7 days" runs from there. The first candle can be a partial period, so figures are approximate to a few hours. Coins with a funding page link to their funding history.

How often Binance lists new perpetuals

The count only includes contracts that are still trading, so past months are understated; the shape shows when listings came in bursts and when they dried up.

What 348 past listings did

We tested the popular idea - "new coins pump on day one, then dump" - on every perpetual listed on Binance from January 2024, with the rules written down first. Entry a day after launch, exit a week later, costs and funding included, compared with older coins on the same dates:

WinnersMedianAveraget
Price change, 7 days after day one35% higher-10.2%-2.0%
Short, after costs and funding64%+8.9%+0.61%0.24
Long, after costs and funding36%-8.8%-0.91%-0.37

No edge. The typical listing falls, yet the average short is indistinguishable from zero: a few coins that rose several times over cost the short 219% to 290% of the position. Full method, the second-period check and the caveats (delisted coins are missing): Do new crypto listings dump after day one? Whether this signal is active right now: signals today.

FAQ

Do new crypto listings go down after launch?

Most do. In our test of 348 Binance futures listings (2024-2026), 65% were lower seven days after the first full day, median -10.2%. Shorting them still had no edge: the average short was +0.61% after costs and funding (t 0.24), because a few coins rose several times over.

How often does Binance list new perpetual futures?

See the chart above: perpetuals still trading, by month of listing, for the last 24 months. Delisted contracts are not counted, so real numbers were somewhat higher.

Where does the data on this page come from?

Binance's public futures API: the list of instruments with onboarding dates, and 4-hour candles from the first candle. Prices are futures prices, not spot.

Live data, past tests: not a forecast and not investment advice. New coins are thin and volatile; leveraged trading can lose more than the margin you put in. See the risk disclaimer.
